Creating a user account

To add a user:

  1. Click the Edit Mode icon (Edit Mode handle bar) to enter edit mode.
  2. In the upper right corner of the edit toolbar, click the User Management icon (circled):

    The Manage User Rights dialog is displayed:

    The Manage User Rights dialog lists all the users that were created through all instances of Oracle Instant Portal. That is, if you have multiple instances of Oracle Instant Portal, and created users in each, the Manage User Rights dialog lists all the users in total. (Oracle Portal users who have been designated Oracle Instant Portal users are also listed here.)

  3. Click Create New User, at the top of the Users pane. This dialog is displayed:

  4. Enter the information requested and click Create.

    When you return to the Manage User Rights dialog, the new user ID appears in the Users pane. You can now use this dialog to set the appropriate privilege level for the user with respect to each page in the portal.
