Use this page to preview how your page will look on a mobile device, such as a cell phone.
In a mobile device, because of the limited display size, pages are rendered as hierarchical trees. Portlets, items, and levels are displayed as links within the tree. Pages of Standard and Mobile page types can be viewed on mobile devices.
For Standard pages, the content and structure is automatically converted into a hierarchical tree structure. Only those portlets and items that are capable of rendering on mobile devices are displayed. If the standard page includes tabs, these become levels in the mobile view.
Mobile pages provide a way to specifically design pages using a hierarchical tree structure. The mobile page editor also restricts the content you can add to your mobile page to those portlets and items that are capable of rendering on mobile devices.
If you see the
icon next to a portlet, this means that the portlet is rendered
entirely by a provider external to the portal. Such portlets may not
display correctly in the mobile previewer when clicked. This icon
also appears next to URL items, as they are always external.
For more information about OracleAS Portal's mobile functionality, see Mobile Enabling your Pages on Oracle Technology Network.
For more information go to the documentation section of Portal Center.
Tip: By default the Page Groups portlet is located on the Build tab of the Portal Builder page.
