Use this page to add attributes to a page type to extend its functionality beyond that of the base page types. A page type's attributes determine what information is stored about a page of that type. The attributes that you add here are the ones that are displayed to users when they create or edit a page of this page type.

to add to the page type, and click To move all attributes to the Selected

| Selected Attributes | Lists the attributes that have been added to the page type, in addition to its default attributes. Click To remove attributes from the page type, select them in the Selected
Attributes list and click |
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Display Name | Displays the display name of the attribute. The display name is a label for the attribute for page creation and editing. |
| Datatype | Displays the type of data that the attribute stores. |
| Default Value | Enter the value to give to the attribute if users do not specify their own value when they create a page of this type. |
| Required | Select this check box if you want to
display the attribute on the Main tab for pages of this type.
Clear this check box if you want to display the attribute on the Optional tab for pages of this type. Note: If you select this check box, users have to provide a value for this attribute. |
When you click Apply, the Attribute Properties section is refreshed to reflect the attributes in the Selected Attributes list, and attributes are added to and removed from the page type as appropriate.
You cannot add attributes to base page types.
Page designers cannot create a page of a particular type until that page type is added to the list of available page types.
