Navigator: Database Schemas

Use this page to browse and manage schemas, and drill down to the objects contained in the schemas.

Field Description
Create Click to create a new schema in the database.
Find

Enter criteria to search the database for schemas and objects, then click Go. You search is restricted to schemas you have privileges to view and the objects within them.

You can use the % wildcard in your search, for example, %demo to search for a schema named wwv_demo or an object named tabledemo.

Path Displays your current location in the navigator.
Sort Column Beginning A Sort Column Beginning Z Click these buttons to sort each column in the navigator. The Sort Column Beginning A button displays items beginning with A (or less recently modified items) at the top of the column. The Sort Column Beginning Z button displays items beginning with Z (or more recently modified items) at the top of the column.
Name Displays the name of the schema.
Type Always displays Schema.
Owner Always displays the schema Name.
Last Modified Displays the date the schema was last modified by an Action.
Actions

Click one of these hypertext links to perform an action on the schema:

  • Open--Displays the objects owned by the schema.
  • Edit--Edit the options used to create the schema such as the password required to log into the database as the schema, assigned tablespaces, whether the schema can be used to build provider database portlets, and whether it can be mapped to OracleAS Portal portal users.
  • Grant Access--Grant privileges to other OracleAS Portal developers and DBAs to perform actions of the schema and the objects it contains.
