Use this page to give a new name to an existing database object.

Notes

• Blank characters are not allowed. Type an underscore (_) character to add a space in a name.
• When you rename an object, the object remains in the same database schema with the new name. If you want to move an object to a different schema, you must export it.
• All objects that reference the old object may become invalid when you rename it.

Locating this Page

To locate this page in OracleAS Portal:

1. On the Portal Builder page, click the Navigator link.
2. Click the Database Objects tab.
3. In the Name column, scroll down to the schema you want to rename.
4. In the Actions column next to the schema, click Rename.
