Edit a Schema: Roles

Use this page to add or remove the selected schema Oracle database roles. Roles grant Oracle database privileges such as SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, and EXECUTE on objects to more than one schema (also known as Oracle database users).

Field Description
Role

Enter the name of an Oracle database role you want to give to the selected schema (shown in the upper left corner of the page).

Click Browse to search for roles.

Add Click to add the schema to the selected role.
Is Member Of Displays the roles to which the schema currently belongs.
Remove Click to remove the schema from one or more roles that you selected in the Is Member Of list.
Remove All Click to remove the schema from all roles.

  1. On the Portal Builder page, click the Navigator link.
  2. Click the Database Objects tab.
  3. In the Name column, scroll down to the schema you want to edit.
  4. In the Actions column next to the schema, click Edit.
