Edit Level: Access

Use this page to specify which users may access the level, and what actions they can perform on it.

Field Descriptions

Access Setting

Field	Description
Inherit Access Settings From The Page	Select to assign to the level the same access control settings as the page on which it appears. To see what these are, click the Access tab while you are editing the page properties.
Specify Access Settings	Select to control access to this level separately from the page on which it appears.

Access Properties

Field	Description
Display Level To Public Users	Select to allow all users to view the level, even users who are not logged on. If you do not select this check box, only the page group administrator, page owners, and users to whom you have explicitly granted access privileges will be able to view this level. Note: If the page itself is not visible to public users, it does not matter what you specify in this check box: if public users cannot view a page, they cannot view any level on that page.

Display Level To Public Users

Select to allow all users to view the level, even users who are not logged on.

Grant Access

Field	Description
Grantee	Enter the name of the user or group who should have access to this level. If you are not sure of the name of the user or group, click (for users) or (for groups), and select from the list provided.
privilege list	Choose the privilege level to grant to the user or group.
Add	Click to grant the chosen privilege to the specified user or group. Note: When you click Add, the user or group is added to the Change Access section of this page, where you can change or revoke the privilege if required.

Change Access

Field	Description
Grantee	Displays the name of the user or group that has been granted privileges on the level. Note: Click to revoke the level privileges from this user or group.
Type	Displays whether the grantee is a user or a group.
Privilege	Choose a new privilege level to grant to the user or group.

Cache Invalidation

Field	Description
Clear Cache	Click to clear all the Web Cache entries for the level. The next time the level is requested, it will be retrieved from the database, not the cache. Example: If you revoke a user's privileges on the level, the user will still be able to access the level if it is in the cache. If you want to make sure that your changes are applied immediately, clear the level from the cache by clicking this link. Note: This link is available only if one or more of the Web Cache global settings are enabled.

Notes

Because OID can include multiple containers that can use the same group names, the distinguished name (DN) is displayed next to any group that does not belong to the local OracleAS Portal instance.

Locating this Page

In the Page Groups portlet, under Edit a Page, click next to the Name field.
Select the mobile page from the list provided, then click Edit.
Click next to the level that you want to edit.
Click the Access tab.

Tip: By default, the Page Groups portlet is located on the Build tab of the Portal Builder page.
