Use Style Of Page On Which Portlet Is Placed Select to use the style of the page on which the portlet is placed, rather than this page's own style.

Default Zip Files Choose the item type to use for Zip files uploaded to the page via WebDAV clients.

Optional Page Properties

Field Description
Item Versioning

Select the level of item version control to use when editing items in this page. Select:

  • None to overwrite the existing item. The database does not maintain a record of the item's previous versions.
  • Simple to enable the user to choose between overwriting the existing item or uploading the item as a new version. If the latter, the database maintains a record of the item's previous versions.
  • Audit to upload the item as a new version. OracleAS Portal maintains a record of the item's previous versions.

Notes:

  • This setting overrides the item versioning specified for the page group, but you cannot provide a lower level of item version control at the page level than is specified at the page group level. For example, if page group item versioning is set to Simple, page level item versioning must be Simple or Audit; it cannot be set to None.
  • This radio group is available only for Standard pages, pages of a custom type that is based on the Standard page type, and navigation pages.
Contact E-mail

Enter the e-mail address of the person users should contact with questions about the page. Typically this will be the page owner.

Notes:

  • This field is available only for Standard pages, pages of a custom type that is based on the standard page type, and navigation pages.
  • You can add a link to this e-mail address to your pages by adding a Contact Portal Smart Link.
Category Choose the category to which the page belongs. A page must belong to a category, and can belong to only one category.
Keywords Enter keywords to describe the content or purpose of the page. These keywords are matched against searches.
optional attributes If the page is based on a custom page type that has additional, optional attributes, those attributes are also included in this section.

User Interface Templates

This section is visible only if the page group is set up to allow the use of user interface templates.

Field Description
UI Template

Choose the user interface template to use with the page.

A user interface template is different from a page template. A user interface template governs what is displayed around the page, whereas a page template governs the appearance and content of the page itself.

Preview Click to see a preview of the selected user interface template.

Example: c:\webimages\page.gif

Rollover Image Name

Example: c:\webimages\pagerollover.gif

Sub Page Display

Field Description
Available/Displayed Sub-Pages

Use these lists to control which sub-pages associated with this page will be available for display in a Sub-Page Links region. To make sub-pages available for display, move them from the Available Sub-Pages list to the Displayed Sub-Pages list. When users add a sub-page links region to their pages, only those pages listed in Displayed Sub-Pages will appear in the region.

Control the display order of sub-pages using the Move icons to the right of the Displayed Sub-Pages list. Or select Display Objects Alphabetically to automatically control the display order of sub-page links.

Display Objects Alphabetically

Select this to specify that links to sub-pages always display in alphabetical order, according to the sub-pages' display names. When Display Objects Alphabetically is selected, any sub-pages you make available for display by placing them on the Displayed Sub-Pages list automatically arrange themselves alphabetically within the list, and consequently within a sub-page links region.
