Edit Page: Regions

Use this page to select a default portlet and default item region for the page. The default item region is used to determine where to put items added via WebDAV clients. The default portlet region is used to determine where to put portlets when you move content from one page to another and the regions between the two do not match up.

Field Description
Default Region Type

Choose Default Portlet Region to select the default portlet region. You can then select the appropriate radio button for the region you want to define as the default portlet region.

Choose Default Item Region to select the default item region. You can then select the appropriate radio button for the region you want to define as the default item region.

Note: You can see radio buttons only in the regions of the type chosen in the Default Region Type list. That is, you can only select a portlet region as the default portlet region and an item region as the default item region.

  1. In OracleAS Portal, click the Build tab to bring it forward.
  2. On the resulting Portal Builder page, go to the Page Group portlet.
  3. Under Edit Page, click Browse icon next to the Name field.
  4. In the resulting window, click Return Object next to the page you want to edit.
  5. Click the Edit button next to the Name field.
  6. In Edit mode, go to Page in the page toolbar, and click the Properties link.
  7. Click the Regions tab to bring it forward.
