Use this page to set the portlet security levels and control which users and groups can see the portlet.
Portlet security controls who can see the portlet on a page as well as in the Portlet Repository and on the Add Portlet page.

| Define Portlet Access Privileges | Select to define separate access privileges for this portlet. Note: Click Apply to refresh this tab and display the access fields in which you can assign portlet privileges to specific users and groups. |

| Grantee | Enter the name of the user or group
who should have access to this portlet. If you are not sure of the name
of the user or group, click |
| privilege list | Choose the privilege level to grant to the user or group. |
| Add | Click to grant the chosen privileges to the specified user or group. Note: When you click Add, the user or group is added to the Change Access section of this page, where you can change or revoke the privileges if required. |

| Privilege | Choose a new privilege level to grant to the user or group. |

| Clear Cache | Click to clear all the Web Cache entries for the portlet. The next time the portlet is requested, it will be retrieved from the provider, not the cache. Example: If you revoke a user's privileges on the portlet, the user will still be able to access the portlet if it is in the cache. If you want to make sure that your changes are applied immediately, clear the portlet from the cache by clicking this link. Note: This link is available only if one or more of the Web Cache global settings are enabled. |
Because OID can include multiple containers that can use the same group names, the distinguished name (DN) is displayed next to any group that does not belong to the local OracleAS Portal instance.
If you do not specifically assign privileges to a particular user or group after selecting Define Portlet Access Privileges, only those users with at least Access global privileges on All Portlets will be able to see the portlet and add it to pages.
