Edit Page Template: Main

Use this page to edit basic properties about the page template, such as its name.

Field Descriptions

Field	Description
Name	Edit the name. OracleAS Portal uses this name in the formation of direct access (or "pretty") URLs. To verify the name OracleAS Portal will recognize in a direct access URL, add an item to the page template, and note the name in the Add Item Wizard's Path information. Note: The name must be unique within the page group and the Shared Objects page group, and is limited to 40 characters. The name can contain only alphanumeric characters (A-Z, a-z, 0-9) and the underscore (_) character. Do not use spaces or other special characters.
Display Name	Edit the display name, which identifies the page template to other users. This is the name that is displayed in the Navigator. Note: The display name is limited to 40 characters.
Description	Edit the description, which provides information that might be useful to others who edit the page template. The description is displayed only when editing the template, not when viewing the template or pages based on the template.
Make available for use in this page group	Select to make this page template available for other users to apply to their pages.

Log in to OracleAS Portal, and click the Navigator link at the top of the page.
Click the Contents link next to the page group that "owns" the template you want to edit.
On the resulting page, click the Templates node.
On the resulting page, click the Edit link next to the template you want to edit.
In the page toolbar at the top of the page, click the Properties link next to Templates.
If necessary, click the Main tab to bring it forward.
