Edit Pending Approvals Monitor Portlet Settings

Use this page to define the display options for the Pending Approvals Monitor portlet. This portlet allows a page or content manager (with the Manage or Manage Content privilege on the page), or administrator, to list pending approvals by approver, date, page group, or submitter.

Pending Approvals Monitor Settings

Field Description
Display Name Enter the name that you want to appear in the portlet header. The default is Pending Approvals Monitor.
Display Limit Choose whether to display all notification items in the portlet, or to limit the list to a specified number of notifications. The default is 20.
Show Approvals For

If you want to show certain pending approvals in this portlet, by default, when it is displayed, select a type. This is not required. Users will be able to specify a type when they view the portlet on a page.

You can select whether to show pending approvals for an approver, a date, a page group, or a submitter.

Type Operator Value

Approver

Is - To show pending approvals for a specified approver.

Is not - To show pending approvals for all approvers except for the specified approver.

Enter the approver.

Note: Enter the full search criteria. Wildcard searches using "%" or "*" are not supported. For example, enter John (and select Is) to return pending approvals for John, not J%.

Date

Is - To show pending approvals for a specific date.

Is not - To show pending approvals for all dates except for the specified date.

Greater than - To show pending approvals for dates after the specified date.

Less than - To show pending approvals for dates before the specified date.

Enter the date.

Note: The format is DD-MON-YYYY.

Page Group

Is - To show pending approvals for a specific page group.

Is not - To show pending approvals for all page groups except for the specified page group.

Enter the page group name.

Note: Enter the full search criteria. Wildcard searches using "%" or "*" are not supported. For example, enter Sales (and select Is) to return pending approvals for the Sales page group, not S%.

Submitter

Is - To show pending approvals for a specified submitter.

Is not - To show pending approvals for all submitters except for the specified submitter.

Enter the submitter.

Note: Enter the full search criteria. Wildcard searches using "%" or "*" are not supported. For example, enter John (and select Is) to return pending approvals for John, not J%.

  1. In the Page Groups portlet, under Edit a Page, click Browse Pages next to the Name field.
  2. Select the page that includes the portlet, then click Edit.
  3. Click Actions next to a Pending Approvals Monitor portlet.
  4. Click Edit Defaults.

Tip: By default the Page Groups portlet is located on the Build tab of the Builder page.
