Use this page to promote objects from the current page group to the Shared
Objects page group.
When you promote an object, you make it visible across all page groups. You
can promote attributes, item types, page types, categories, perspectives, and
styles.
To promote an attribute, item type, page type, category, or perspective you
need the Manage Classifications privilege on the page group to which the object
belongs and on the Shared Objects page group. To promote a style you need the
Manage Style privilege on the page group to which the style belongs and on the
Shared Objects page group.

Notes
- When you promote an item type or page type, all attributes included in
the type are also promoted.
- When you promote a category or perspective all children (subcategories and
subperspectives) are also promoted.
- If you are promoting a non-public style (that is, a style for which the
Make Public check box is not selected), the style is moved to the Shared Objects
page group, but is not made public. If you want other users to be able to
use the style, you must explicitly make the style public.
- You cannot promote templates or navigation pages. If you want to share a
template or navigation page between multiple page groups, you must recreate
it in the Shared Objects page group.
