Create Page Group

Use this page to create a new page group.

Page Group Properties

Field Description
Name

Enter a name for the page group. The name can be used in a URL to directly access the page group. Direct access URLs take the following format:

http://<hostname>:<portnumber>/pls/<dad>/url/page/<pagegroupname>

For example:

http://mymachine.mycompany.com:5000/pls/portal/url/page/mypagegroup

Note: The name must be unique, and is limited to 60 characters. The name can contain only alphanumeric characters (A-Z, a-z, 0-9) and the underscore character (_); spaces and other special characters are not allowed.

Display Name

Enter a descriptive display name for the page group.

Note: The display name can contain up to 256 characters.

Default Language

Choose the language in which to create the page group.

Notes:

  • This list contains all the languages that have been installed for OracleAS Portal. For information about installing another language, see the Oracle Application Server Portal Configuration Guide.

  • You can make the page group available in other languages later by creating a translation.
