Use this page to add content to your mobile page. Mobile pages are presented in a hierarchical tree structure. The structure is defined by levels. Any level, including the top level, can contain any number of portlets, items, and levels. This gives you the flexibility to represent a large amount of content yet limit the list displayed at any one time to fit the smaller displays of most mobile devices.

Buttons for actions on multiple objects

The mobile page editor action buttons

Field Description
Show To show a hidden portlet, item, or level, select the check box next to its name and click Show. You can select multiple portlets, items, and levels for showing.
Hide To hide a portlet, item, or level, select the check box next to its name and click Hide. You can select multiple portlets, items, and levels for hiding.

Note: Hiding a portlet, item, or level does not remove it from the page, but merely prevents it from displaying when users view the page. You will still be able to see the portlet, item, or level in Edit mode, where you can choose to show it again. Hidden portlets, items, and levels are grayed out in Edit mode.

Delete To delete a portlet, item, or level, select the check box next to its name and click Delete. A confirmation screen is displayed where you can choose to continue or cancel the deletion. You can select multiple portlets, items, and levels for deleting.

Note: If you remove a level, you will not have the opportunity to relocate the level's content to another level, so be sure to do so before clicking Delete.

Move

To move a portlet or item to a different position in the page, select the check box next to its name and click Move. A screen is displayed where you can select the position where you want to move the portlet or item. You can select multiple portlets or items for moving.

Notes:

  • This is different from the arrange icon (Arrange). The Move action allows you to move items and portlets to different levels within the page structure. The arrange icon allows you to change the order of items, portlets, and levels within a particular level.

  • You cannot move levels.

Share To make a particular instance of a portlet, including all its customizations, available for use in other pages, select the check box next to the portlet's name and click Share. A screen is displayed where you can choose to continue or cancel the share operation. You can select multiple portlets for sharing.

When you share a portlet, it becomes available in the Portlet Repository under Shared Instances.

Note: You can only share portlets; not items or levels.
