Note: You can create mobile pages only if the mobile page design global setting is enabled.
Note: You can create JSP pages only if the JSP access page group setting is enabled. This list also includes any custom page types that have been included in the page group where you are creating the page. Notes:
|
| Name | Enter a name for this page to be used in instances when it is viewed outside of OracleAS Portal, for example, when it is viewed through a WebDAV client. This name is case sensitive. (See also, the Notes section, towards the end of this topic.) Note:
|
| Display Name | Enter a display name to identify the page to other users. This is the name that is displayed in the Navigator. Note: The display name is limited to 40 characters. |
| Description | Enter any information that you think would be useful to others who edit the page. The description, which must not exceed 2000 characters, is displayed only when editing the page, not when viewing the page. |
| Navigation Page For Banner | Choose a navigation page to use as a banner for the page. The navigation page is added as a portlet to a region across the top of the page, so be sure to choose a navigation page that fits appropriately. Notes:

| Cache Page Definition Only at System Level | Creates a single cached copy of the page definition for all users. The page definition will be the same for all users. For more information see Page caching options. |
| Cache Page Definition And Content at System Level For [ ] Minutes | Creates a single cached copy of the page definition for all users, and caches the assembled page's content at the system level, including the rendered content of all portlets, for a specified period of time. This is called expiry-based caching. For more information see Page caching options. |
| Don't Cache | Disables page caching. For more information see Page caching options. |
If this check box is not selected for the page group, sub-pages will still use the page group's default settings for certain properties (for example, banner, style, and template).
For example, in a page group, you have two sub-pages, each one level below the root page. Both have the same Name, but with varying capitalization, such as MyPage and mypage. When OracleAS Portal prepares the Name for use in a direct access URL, it may set one as MYPAGE, and the other MYPAGE1.
To determine the name OracleAS Portal will use for direct access URLs, add an item to the page, and look at the name given to the page in the Item Wizard's Path information.
For more information go to the documentation section of Portal Center.
