Create Page: Choose Page Template

Use this page to choose a page template to apply to your page so that it conforms to a standard appearance. You can edit the page later to build on top of the structure and content provided by the template. You can also apply a different template to the page later if need be.

If you apply a template to a page, the navigation page you chose in the first step of the Create Page Wizard will not be used.

If the page template that you choose here does not allow page designers to control the style or access control for pages based on the template, you will not be offered the opportunity of choosing a style for the page or specifying who can access the page.

You can apply templates only to Standard pages or to custom page types that are based on the Standard page type.

Page Template

Choose the page template that you want to apply to the page. Choose <None> if you do not want the page to be based on a template.

Note: This list includes all the page templates created within this page group and the shared objects page group.

  1. In OracleAS Portal, click the Build tab to bring it forward.
  2. On the resulting Portal Builder page, go to the Page Groups portlet.
  3. In the Page Group field, enter the name of the page group that will host (parent) this page.
  4. Click the Create a Page link.
  5. Make your changes to Create Page, and click Next. Create Page: Choose Page Template will display.
