Use this page to set global user privileges that pertain specifically to the portal. This page facilitates editing the privileges associated with your OracleAS Portal user account. You can also reset the account.
Note: Do not remove the Manage privileges to your account unless you have Manage authority through a group membership.
The privileges you grant here apply to ALL objects of the specified type. For example, if you grant a user Run privileges on Applications, that user can then run ANY application. You can grant more granular privileges against an individual object by editing that object.
Each privilege in the list includes all privileges below it. For example, if a user can manage page styles, he or she can also view, publish, and create page styles.
The Manage privilege allows a user to manage objects of a given type and also to grant global privileges on the object type to other users and groups.
If the Create privilege for an object is not granted to a user (either here or through the Groups portlet) the user will not be able to create an object of that type.
None means no privilege has been granted for this object type. Without privileges, each user or group has to be granted a privilege for each object type, which is not usually useful.
For more information go to the documentation section of Portal Center.
Tip: By default the Portal User Profile portlet is located on the Portal tab on the Administer tab of the Portal Builder page.
