Navigator: Templates

Use this page to manage the page templates in this page group. Only the templates you are authorized to see and the actions you are authorized to perform are displayed.

Field Description
Create New... Click Template to create a new page template.
Find

Use the Find field to locate a particular page group object.

Note: You cannot limit the search to any particular object type. This means that if you are searching for a particular template, the search returns every page group object that matches the text you enter in the Find field: pages, templates, styles, and so on.

Path

Displays your current location within the Navigator. In this case, Page Groups > PageGroupDisplayName > Templates.

Click a link in the path to move to a higher level in the Page Groups tab.

Type Displays the page group object type; in this case, Template.
Name Displays the name of the page template. Click to display the template.
Actions

Click:

  • Edit to edit the layout and content of the page template
  • Properties to edit the page template's properties
  • Copy to create a copy of the page template
  • Delete to delete the page template
    You will not see the Delete link next to a template that has been selected as the page group's default template.
  • Export to add the page template to a new or existing transport set for export
    When you export a page template, the style it references is also exported.

Note: You can only see the actions that you are authorized to perform. If you do not see a particular action listed, you do not have the privileges to perform that action, or the selected object is exempt from that action. For example, you will not see a Delete link next to a template that is identified as the page group's default tempate.

Creator Displays the name of the user who created the page template.
Last Modified Displays the date on which this page template was last edited.

  1. Log in to OracleAS Portal, and click the Navigator link at the top of the page.
  2. On the resulting page, click the Contents link next to the page group that owns the template(s) you want to manage.
  3. On the resulting page, click the Templates node.
